Looking to take on Apple’s MacBook Air, Xiaomi has given consumers an affordable Windows-based alternative in the form of Mi Notebook Air. Much like Apple’s MacBook range, one of the selling points of the Mi Notebook Air is how thin and light it is. The Mi Notebook Air is 13% thinner than the MacBook Air and packed inside an 11% smaller body. The Mi Notebook Air with a 13.3-inch display has a full-HD resolution, with a 5.59mm-thick bezel. It has a full metal body with 135-degree opening and closing hinge. The 12.5-inch model is just 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.07kg, while the 13.3-inch model is 14.8mm thick, compared to 17mm thick MacBook Air and weighs just 1.28kg. It has full-sized backlit keyboard with 1.3mm key travel, 3nits brightness and glass trackpad for precise cursor control and multi-finger gesture controls such as scrolling program switching, zoom and other gestures. It has support for 1C fast charging technology so that it takes on half an hour to charge the laptop to 50%. It will go on sale in China from August 2nd.
